Weekly Update August 25-28, 2026
Praised Be Jesus Christ!
Our first week of school went wonderfully. We welcomed several new families and students into our SJCA community, and we are truly excited for each of them to experience the hospitality, joy, and faith‑filled spirit that make our school special. We are especially proud of our students for showing kindness and generosity to their new classmates, helping everyone feel included from day one. Our teachers have also been emphasizing this through fun team‑building activities that strengthen classroom unity and friendship.
This week, students will experience their first full four‑day school schedule. Please ensure your child gets a good night’s rest and enjoys a healthy breakfast each morning. Establishing this routine early in the year helps students stay focused, energized, and ready for day‑to‑day learning.
Our Tuesday and Friday school Masses are open to all families. If you plan to attend, please stop by the school office to pick up a visitor pass before heading to the church.
We are also looking forward to Donuts with Dad—a special morning to honor and celebrate all SJCA dads and father figures who guide, support, and inspire our students, just as St. Joseph did. If you plan to join us, please remember to RSVP so we can prepare enough donuts for everyone.
School Counselor’s Topic of the Month
This month, Dr. Wanda Miller, our school counselor, is sharing helpful tips and strategies to support students as they settle into their school routines. Her focus highlights how nutrition plays a vital role in mental health, attention, and emotional regulation. We encourage families to read her newsletter and explore simple ways to help children thrive both academically and emotionally. Click here to view Dr. Miller’s newsletter.
A Note of Gratitude
Thank you, families, for your continued partnership and support. Your presence, encouragement, and prayers make a tremendous difference in the life of our school. As we begin this new year together, let us continue nurturing a community rooted in faith, kindness, and joyful learning. We are grateful for each of you and look forward to all the blessings this school year will bring.
